We have already seen the Ipad, tablet PC's, MacBook Air etc, but have any of them been less than $500?? NO.
Well, collaboration effort of IIT Engineers in India invented a $35 tablet. This instrument is said to have 2GB of RAM, touch screen, USB ports, run Linux, be able to connect to the internet over WiFi, open PDFs, and even play YouTube videos. Basically solves all the minute needs of every day life. The Indian government also plans to subsidize their sale to students such that they'll cost only $20. The goal is to have them selling for as little as $10 in the future. This makes is affordable and convinient for students and people living in the rural area to be connected to the outer world through technology.
