Camera inside in Human body's head??

A professor at the New York University in the photography and imaging department is going to undergo a surgery to implant a camera in the back of his head. I have heard students complaining about professors always watching them on during classes. I wonder how they feel about this.

This is being done for a project by a new museum in Qatar. The work is going to be a live steam of images from the camera to all museum visitors. The implanted camera will take pictures from the professor's head at one-minute intervals and then feed the photos electronically to the monitors at the museum.

I am sure if this technology works, they would also use this in lots of security places for constant surveillance.

Dell moving into smartphones market

The latest trend about cellphones is having a multitasking phone very similar to a fully functional computer. Most computer companies are now moving into the smart phones market. Dell recently plans to move to the windows phone 7 - Dell Venue Pro. According to Wall street journal, dell is in discussions with T-mobile to buy voice and data plans in bulk for the Venue Pro.

Dell claims to save money by their switch from the RIM Blackberry's to the venue pro and also has been convincing its business customers to switch to companies smart phones.

The competition in the smart phone market is going to get very intense with companies like not just Dell, but HP who bought Palm are also entering the market with a bang.

It would be interesting to know how the market plays. Will it be the most "Coolest" phone to survive or "Cheapest".

Google Chrome users pay less for Car Loans ??

Depending on the browser you use for loans on Capital One web site, it offers you different rates. Someone commented in The Consumerist report about how he got charged different rate when logged into different profiles. Firefox charged him 3.5%, Safari was 2.7% and Google chrome has like 2.3%.
I guess FireFox users get charged the most. It’s interesting to know how technology usage can give you cheaper loan rates simply by using a different Internet browser.
I know, for sure, I am using Google chrome for any kinds of loans I need for future.

58'' iPhone Desk

Its really amazing how you can create any thing with techonlogy and some innovation. This 58" desk is nothing but a replica of the actual iPhone. It takes input from an iPhone and creates a fully functioncal touch screen desk. This huge iPhone would come to a great use as the small iPhone already is, as it gives you a much larger screen space. I only imagine the inumerable things I would use it for, if I had an iPhone desk.

This probably is a contradiction to the believers that the future is the world of everything nano, becoming smaller and smaller. Well big things can come in big packages and actually be very useful too.

Laptop for $35 ???

We have already seen the Ipad, tablet PC's, MacBook Air etc, but have any of them been less than $500?? NO.

Well, collaboration effort of IIT Engineers in India invented a $35 tablet. This instrument is said to have 2GB of RAM, touch screen, USB ports, run Linux, be able to connect to the internet over WiFi, open PDFs, and even play YouTube videos. Basically solves all the minute needs of every day life. The Indian government also plans to subsidize their sale to students such that they'll cost only $20. The goal is to have them selling for as little as $10 in the future. This makes is affordable and convinient for students and people living in the rural area to be connected to the outer world through technology.

I hope they finalize the design as soon as possible. Check out this video.

Thanks to GoogleTalk, Skype, Facebook!

As they used to say... Happiness comes from within. Well, a recent research reveals an interesting angle to that concept. Research reveals that "technology" makes you happier. Many people feel that IT just brings negative effects to ones life by making a person isolated and even causing obesity. But recent research confirms that technology helps to empower people and gives them a sense of freedom.

I cannot imagine myself being without my cell phone or being without Internet, just makes me feel so disconnected with others.
Technologies like email, Facebook, Skype, Google Talk etc has made me more closer to my far flung family across the other side of the world more connected to me. I feel satisfied and happy every time I see my Mom's and sister's faces on the web cam via Google Talk !

That's one more reason to understand the importance of Information Technology and exploring it's capabilities in marketing one's business as virtually everyone is connected.
